DISNEY VETERAN JOINS FAST-GROWING DIGITAL DISPLAY COMPANY, D3 LED

 

Joseph Tucker joins as Executive Vice President and CFO

 

NEW YORK, NY Dec. 18, 2007 -- D3 LED, one of the world’s most sophisticated and fastest growing digital display manufacturers, has appointed Joseph Tucker as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Tucker will guide business development as well as oversee day-to-day finance and administration. He join D3 LED’s executive team which includes founders, Jason Barak, Meric Adriansen and George Pappas.

 

Tucker joins D3 LED from The Walt Disney Company where he spent 27 years in operations, production and management. Most recently for Disney, Tucker assumed dual roles as Senior Vice President of Corporate Administration and as President and General Manager of Times Square Studios LTD.

 

In his capacity as President and GM of Times Square Studios, Tucker made recommendations for negotiating city benefits, protecting current retention agreements, developing real estate, and producing broadcast and media events in public spaces. He also launched ABC’s state-of-the-art digital television studio which includes its exterior video billboard, a signature design element of the studio.

 

Tucker is also active in many Times Square Board and Organization Memberships. He serves on the executive and marketing committee of the Times Square Alliance; was appointed by former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani to the board of directors of the Mayor’s Midtown Citizens Committee; serves on the board of directors of NYC & Co.; serves on the Board of Managers; chairs the Finance Committee at Westside YMCA; and is a member of The Broadway Association and Partnership for New York.

 

Tucker earned his bachelor’s degree in Speech and Theater and Business Administration from Montclair State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

 

D3 LED has extensive experience in the design, manufacture and installation of complex LED displays and associated control systems. The company is unique in that more than half of the displays that grace Times Square have been produced or worked on by D3 LED employees prior to joining the company. D3 LED boasts an impressive global product portfolio which includes two of the most high-profile displays in Times Square -- the ABC Super Sign and M&M World. The company, which is based in North Bergen, N.J., will be relocating to Times Square in the first quarter of 2008.
